This is a favorite time of year for me. I love getting back into the wilderness where everything is so peaceful and quiet. I was out on a lake Sunday when I heard a fabulous sound… okay, I heard a loon too… but I really enjoy hearing the sound of a bushplane overhead. I looked up and there was it was. A DHC2. The incredible de Havilland Beaver is as much a part of the Canadian landscape as the animal of the same name. This is the ultimate bush plane. It first hit the drawing board in 1946! That’s 60 years ago. These planes are still flying all over the world. If you get the chance to have a fly-in adventure in Northern Ontario, take it! You will never forget it.
